How to: Identify Activision's Guitar Hero III replacement disc for the Wii

As many of the Nintendo Wii owners will recall, Activision has recently begun sending out pre-paid envelopes to enable its customers to send back their faulty Guitar Hero III video game discs.

While this is certainly good news, we imagine that there are some out there who are wondering how can they tell if the disc they're getting from the publisher isn't another broken copy?

If you find yourself wondering the same, here's how to tell: While both the original (busted) and new GH3 discs have identical logos, the new disc will have a very distinct star just above its Activision label.

Here's a comparison picture to give you an idea. The new disc is on the left:

We remind those that have already replied to the company's mail that their replacement disc should be arriving within a month. Here's to hoping out info tidbit will help you tell if you indeed got the right copy.
