House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return confirmed for Nintendo Wii |

Kept your fingers crossed about the possibility of House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return making its way to the Nintendo Wii console? Developer Sega has just confirmed that this rumor is indeed true - expect this title to explode unto your Wii, Wiimote, and Nunchuck like so much decaying zombie torso soon.The company further disclosed that the game was to feature six modes of play, including the standard Arcade and Time Attack modes. And aside from the single-player campaign, House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return will also support multiplayer co-op. Sega Europe's Marketing Director Gary Knight had this to say regarding the announcement:
The House of the Dead franchise has been revamped for todayÂ’s gamer looking for fast-paced shooting action on the Wii. Utilising the new Wii Zapper, the player can get the renowned light gun experience in their own home.
Okay, that makes two zombie-blasting arcade rail shooters on the Wii - time will tell regarding which will prove to be the superior game. At the moment, Sega's scheduled House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return for a Spring 2008 release. Check back in case the company makes any more related announcements.
