Minesweeper XP - Image 1The latest in the Nintendo Wii homebrew scene brings us a classic Windows' port to the white hot console. Homebrew developer mangaman3000 has released Minesweeper, a direct clone of the original playable with a GameCube controller.

As of now, mangaman3000's Minesweeper doesn't support the Wii Remote. Scores don't get recorded as of this release, but updates are expected to follow. Installation is basically the same as most Wii homebrew, so be sure you know how to work the Zelda Chainloader.

For now, here are controls you need to know:
  • Main menu controls
    • A = select
    • UP/DOWN = change selection
    • RIGHT/LEFT = change mines/size
    • Z = speed up selection (only for mines/size)
  • In-game controls
    • A = clear space
    • B = Toggle flag,question mark & square
    • Z = Speed up Cursor
    • LEFT/RIGHT/UP/DOWN = change selection
    • START = Pause
  • Score Board controls
    • LEFT/RIGHT = Select size
    • Y = Clear score board
    • A/B = Back
