Wii Homebrew Browser - Wiibrew- news and downloads - Image 1

The Homebrew Browser has just received a significant update from Wiibrew developer, teknecal. In case you missed the previous release, the Homebrew Browser allows you to download and update your Wiibrew files straight from your Wii, which means no more need for a computer, no more dead links, no more file extractions, and the rest of that.

Now on v0.1.2, Homebrew Browser sports a check that makes sure a server response is valid. It also has several new features, including new graphics and a new mouse pointer. Here's the changelog for v0.1.2 from teknecal:
  • Added checks to make sure the server response is valid
  • Uses new graphics made by LowLines
  • New mouse pointer
  • "New" icon appears depending on the time
  • Uses GRRLIB 3.0.1a
  • (A few hours later) Fixed images getting corrupted when loaded previous and next 6 images a few times
This program remains one of my favorites and I'd love to see every Wiibrew out there get representation in the program, but that might not be possible for a long time yet. Here's a vid of the program in action (much better than the last one too):

As of this update, the program now also supports the Wiibrew game Tanks. Be sure to read the documentation included in the download archive.
