hsJust a quick update on The Last Story - Hironobu Sakaguchi posted on their dev blog that they are now in the process of fine-tuning the game. No easy task though, there's still a lot to do, and the legendary game master shares his thoughts on his work.

“There is also a lot of fine tuning, but when those pile up, it could be big. God is in the details. But I recently feel and have a sense to say; maybe I will become lonely when The Last Story is completed. It is the same pain such as my own child starting their journey,” Sakaguchi writes.

By his child's journey, he's referring to his daughter who's almost 17 and will be moving out for college soon. Sakaguchi also treats his games as if they were his children.

There is still a lot of work to go into The Last Story, but fortunately, it won't be Sakaguchi's last.

this might be why Final Fantasy's been going sour lately, the loss of all the old talent really hurt Square, I don't even feel comfortable calling it Final Fantasy anymore.
