Heavy.Com Wii Contest: be creative

Wanna create and star on your very own Wii commercial? Well, Heavy.Com is sponsoring a Wii contest called "Wii Would Like to Play".

It's simple. You get your Wii, call 19 of your friends over to your place, and make a home video featuring you playing the Wii. Wackiness is not required but it's probably a prerequisite when playing the Wii anyway. Submissions are open until February 28 so you probably still have enough time to train your dog to how to hold the Nunchuck. They will choose five video finalists, which would be shown between March 5 to 18. The most watched video would be hailed the winner. The winning video would be later on featured as a Wii commercial.

What's the prize (in exchange for your dignity), you ask? Well, the grand prize consists of a Wii package (Wii Remote Controller, Nunchuk Controller, two Classic Controllers, a component cable for the Wii Console, a Wii Points card loaded with 5,000 points, a Wii Console carrying case and five Wii Console video games) plus US$ 2,000. The five videos that'll make it to the finals will take home US$ 250.

For the complete set of rules, interested parties should check out their website. Your Wii antics might just earn you some cash. And while you're thinking up ideas for your own vid, you can check out the sample video below.
