Have a good laugh: Wii is GameCube Advance

Wii= GameCube Advance - Image 1A lot have been said regarding the similarities and differences of Wii and earlier-generation console GameCube (GC). The competition has been harping on the note that their own video game systems can produce better graphics.

Honestly though, they should stop doing that because Nintendo itself admitted that the processors of Wii and GC are virtually the same. On a lighter note, it looks like these discussions got in the mind of someone up in Nintendo of America (NoA).

We're not certain who exactly that someone is but it's certain that he/she is related to providing fans with console replacements. Kotaku reader Ham posted the following:

I received my replacement Wii in the mail today, quite speedy since I sent in the request last Friday. And when I opened it up, lo and behold, the label heralded the arrival of my GameCube replacement... I had a good laugh.

Well, what more can we add but we had a hearty laugh as well. Enjoy your GameCube Advance Ham! Just kidding! After all, there's an old adage that goes, "A truly mature person is someone who can laugh at himself."

Umm, sorry to burst your bubble, but I'm pretty sure they're not labelling it a "GameCube Advance". The shipping label means it is an "Advance Replacement" for a GameCube. Advance Replacement just means they send you the replacement before they receive your defective part. The only WTF is that they're labelling it as a GameCube at all.
