Hannity Hearts Wii!How do you know if you're doing something right as a game hardware company? When conservatives, who are known for being critical of video games, start praising your console. It's an act that Fox News' Sean Hannity has apparently done.

Kotaku writer Michael Fahey notes how, on his way home, he got to listen to Hannity talk on the radio. Hannity spent time with his son over the break playing with both the Wii and the PS3, though he seems to have spent a lot of time praising the Wii on his radio show. Fahey writes:

He (Hannity) continued, saying (paraphrasing here) that every parent needs to get a Wii to play with their children, adding that it was probably the best game they've ever made. He went on to praise all aspects of Wii Sports, especially the boxing.

Especially the boxing eh? I thought the general conservative stance was against violent video games (boxing is violent, right?), since gamers are apparently know-nots who, to quote fellow Fox host Bill O'Reilly, "don't deal with reality - ever." We might be mashing words here, but either Bill O'Reilly might be somewhat wrong, or conservatives don't deal with reality too. Just kidding, Mr. O'Reilly.

The bottom line: a dad got to spend some quality time with his kid, and video games helped to do it. That's definitely a good game story right there.
