There's this guy named OBsIV who is so brilliant that he was able to play Halo 2 on the Xbox 360 with Nintendo's motion-sensing remote controllers Wiimote and Nunchuk. According to our guy, he calls this project "Xbox 360 Input Machine" or "XIM" and definitely providing Wii60 owners the best gaming experience.

Aside from the obvious and already mentioned tools, OBsIV also used the peripheral XFPS 360. He added that one great thing about the accessory is that it circumvents the Xbox 360's security which usually prohibits third parties from creating alternate input devices, not to mention it being able to convert PS2 controller input to Xbox 360 input.

The developer did a lot of other things with the project that concerns hardware, software and even firmware. If you want to know the technical details, you can click on our Read link below and browse through the project's whole description. If you only want to be amazed, then go ahead and watch the video below.

NO LIFE!!

Dude you have way to much time on your hands if you take the time to do all that crap just so you can play halo with a wiimote...and you should have made the camera movement easier cause running around holding A and swinging the wiimote would get real annoying.

Whatever that would be fun as crap! to difficult for me to replicate though :-( I still have a blast playing on the 360 controller so i dont need it anyway. plus i bet i would suck no that im so used to the 2 sticks

....

He has a life....its really cool that its possible but IMHO this is dumb to show of with halo becuase it will be near impossable to be a good shoot....I would rather see a mouse and keybord on 360 working perfectly...

good mod

Comparing this mod with some fps games on Wii then you will realise how good it works, this guy is quite good

That's right!!!

the Wiimote control kills all other... that's why Nintendo rules while MS sucks C0CK and bill gates takes it up the A$$!!!! Wii FTW!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

blingtastic

do you guys realise its not that hard to copy the wiimote the guncon for the PS3 use basically the same technology that can also easily be ported to the 360. this guy is good but its just a natter of time before everybody jumps on it. the wii motion sensing is probably used by other things so i dont think it would be illegal if MS or Sony did steal it.
by - 2007-08-06 16:26:03
good one!

Microsoft should just team up with Nintendo then their be more FPS games for the Wii :) along with Halo :)

who gives a *****... keep wasting your time you dumb 27 year old "i dont have a life" *****sucker

^ Not really Nintendo fan

Okay, you play Halo 2 with a Wii remote, and I'll play it with a Controller-S or 360 pad, and we'll see who wins. The score would look something like, me - 15, you - 0. You just couldn't press the buttons fast enough or control the remote accurately enough in a hectic 1 vs 1 on Warlock or Midship, or any gametype on any map for that matter. Cool mod, and this guy has some programming skills, but it isn't very useful.

by - 2007-08-06 21:07:28
duel wielding

I bet he just mapped it to z or something. that would be quite awkward, though.

gay

who cares fck off. its kool
by - 2007-08-06 21:40:04
For those saying he is a looser...

At least instead of just watching T.V or play video games 24 hours, he decided to do something new. This guy is very clever and he can go far in life with creations like these.

Q1

Finally, someone has done something useful with their Samsung Q1... I'm using mine as a paper weight.
by - 2007-08-07 02:51:02
Dual

Obviously when using dual to fire the left gun would be Z just like Z was to throw nade. Awesome stuff great controls
by - 2007-08-07 04:12:49
i agree

NERDSSSSSSSSSS
by - 2007-08-07 11:46:38
No way!

Microsoft shud team up with nintendo? Thats a very lame idea man, and i dont just wanna play FPS's.
by - 2007-08-07 17:29:41
UT3

You'll probably see it with UT3--it's confirmed for the PS3 version, and it'll probably happen for the 360 version as well; it'd be dumb of them not too.
by - 2007-08-07 18:39:59
Crouch

Whats the crouch button? I guess dual wielding could be used with Z as shoot. Pretty cool.
by - 2007-08-07 19:17:35
great

nintendo should sue M$ for this. the hacker who did this is just the middleman and has NOTHING to do with it, according to the Patriot Act. chances are nintendo would win because everyone else does whenever they sue. HAHAAHAHAH
by - 2007-08-17 13:47:50
