Get ready to jam to the latest version of team CBT's Guitarfun for the Nintendo Wii. The latest build of this homebrew guitar simulator includes several new controller support features as well as a comprehensive PDF manual outlining its various controls.

Guitarfun v2.8 gives the player a choice of playing the game on either a USB keyboard, the Guitar Hero Wii controller, or the standard Wiimote. In addition, the developer has also added auto-detection support which determines the controller priority should different devices be plugged into your console.

Like we mentioned earlier, this release of Guitarfun comes with a very detailed manual. It explains the various controls and menus as well as outline the details on how to install the game. Please make sure to read this document before copying any files into your Wii.

Budding Wii developers can also take a look at the game's source code and see how it was coded for the Nintendo console. You can download it, along with the actual game bundle, through the links we've provided below. Enjoy!

# Help please!!Stu308 2008-07-18 09:33
Hi, can anyone help me get this running please?

Either through the homebrew channel or Sd card.

I don't know how to do the twilight hack so another way would be great.

I have it showing in HB channel and it runs but cannot load any songs. I have got some off "frets on fire" but dont work.

Comes up with "cant save song" error or something similar when i press start game.

The included instructions are a bit vague for me.

Thanks a lot.

Stu.

did you put your songs in the correct folder?

in your SD card, create a folder named 'songs' in the directory 'guitarfun'

you put the frets on fire files in the songs folder.

If you're having trouble getting this to run make sure on the ROOT of the SD card you have a folder named guitarfun and if you want your songs to be in a pack name a folder PACK or pack and put it in the song folder otherwise have the songs in individual folders inside the song folder. hope you fix it cause this is a great brew
