First up: Guitar Hero World Tour finally gets tagged with a price. This, via Gaming Bits. Apparently, product listing for the game have appeared on GameStop, with various bundles across the platform versions.

The complete package for World Tour on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii includes the game, the guitar, drums, and microphone. All that in the band kit for US$ 189.99; that's just a few dollars more expensive than Rock Band. Meanwhile, the full PS2 bundle is tagged ten dollars cheaper at US$ 179.99.

Other bundles are listed as so:
  • Guitar Hero World Tour - Guitar Kit: US$ 99.99 (PS3, PS2, Wii, Xbox 360)
  • Guitar Hero World Tour Game: US$ 59.99 (PS3, Xbox 360)
  • Guitar Hero World Tour Game: US$ 49.99 (PS2, Wii)
Do note that prices may change in time - the game doesn't have a confirmed release date yet, anyways, so we might as well wait for official word from either Activision, RedOctane, or Neversoft. All they ever said was their plan of a Fall 2008 release window. GameStop lists World Tour with a more specific date of October 27.

Meanwhile, weekend warriors might find this either a) interesting, b) horrifying, or c) strangely arousing. [cue "o_0" moment]. American Idol finalists David Cook and David Archuleta have appeared in ads for Guitar Hero. These were premiered during the season finale earlier this week. We've included a YouTube embed of of boths ads below for your viewing pleasure (or horror). And yes. They're in their undies, so don't say we didn't warn you.
