Wow... Songs from bands we've all heard at least 500 times on accident! To hell with being original and exposing fans to "other" bands. Let's just put songs in that have received mass amounts of play on MTV for 4 months straight.
Anyway, wonder what new features the game will have that are actually good.
Last time i checked, Guitar hero was a pretty mainstream game. They did put songs from other band that weren't as exposed on guitar hero 4, but nobody wants to sing along or play a song that they don't know the words too. What original bands do you think should be on the game?
And if you say some ***** like dimmu borgir or something like that then dont bother replying
I lol'd.
Kid, the last time GH was original was when it was developed by Harmonix. And that's why vocalists play songs MORE THAN ONCE, so they can get the lyrics down. Why do you think RB2 is so successful? Massive amounts of DLC from pretty much all genres rather than just a few DLC here and there and a new game every 4 months.
GH4, GH Smash Hits, DJ Hero, Band Hero (seriously, wat), GH Metallica, and GH Van Halen.
HMX just released entire albums as DLC rather than making a whole new game and charging $59.99 for it.
I agree 100%. Rockband is very smart on only releasing 3 games so far, The DLC alone is enough to make 7-8 Rockband games.
Not to mention the universal DLC across all games is genius
rock band 2 is still the better game for me.. hope they fix the drums on this gh game now coz the previous one sux, the cymbals dont work if u dont hit it really hard.. but i dont care about gh anymore.. i have rb2 plus dlcs & thats all that matters..
Meh, there's only a few songs there I really want. Though they are the songs I've wanted to play since Rockband was released.
Smells Like Teen Spirit
The Spirit of Radio
Ring of Fire
Sweating Bullets
Two Minutes To Midnight (in RB now anyway)
Sultans of Swing
6/85 seems worth a pirate at most.
All along the watchtower ive been waiting for, but to see that it isnt Jimi Hendrix's cover is more than disapointing for me.
And don't forget the upcoming Rock Band Network. That's gonna be pretty awesome.
I agree RB2 is a much wiser decision but obviously theirs still plenty of not so smart Guitar Hero consumers that pick this multi disc DLC every few months up and blow 60 bucks. Activision will bury the GH franchise in the ground like they did with Tony Hawk
To be honest many are more happy with Guitar hero releasing more games. I think its a better deal that i get 80 songs for less then 60 or even 20 dollars(once it hits the bargain bin) and more and improved features. The only disagreement i have with guitar hero is the fact that drums are a pain in the ass, i can't use much of my rock band equipment for it(wii >.
i think they would have done a bit better in the music choice but im more of a rockband kinda guy so i dont expect much from guitar hero
Dude I know. Activision will destory almost every good game they get their greedy hands on, or try to destroy ones they let slip away (opps. Brutal Legend). Tony Hawk Ride looks stupid. Go grab a "skateboard" and go "outside" instead of wasting $120. Money sucking bastards.
Well, theres your problem.. You own a Wii. which has no downloadable content. Case closed.
If you wanna like things for the Wii, you leave "Disappointment" at the door.
Example: Oh since i don't get DLC, I'll just have to like the Guitar Hero games
Although i prefer RB, i'm pretty sure GH is raping RB in terms of sales. Also wii does support DLC now fyi. I'm a little disappointed that they didn't pick the good arctic monkeys song(fluorescen t adolescent), but maybe it'll come to RB sometime
guitar hero song list is shown in a youtube vid here:

Guitar hero world tour does support DLC, get your facts straight before you post you stupid ass
