You can't release a rhythm-based music game without a couple of pitfalls along the way. Even Activision's Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (PC, Xbox 360, PS2, PS3, Wii) , one of the genre's biggest releases of the year, is guilty of this unintentional crime.

In a YouTube video provided by Kolma, he was able to catch a glitch for the Nintendo Wii version of the game. The glitch ties in with a mix-up with the controls using the Wiimote.

Apparently, there's a way to play the game using your Wii remote without the auto-strum feature. No, it isn't apparently a natural feature to boost the difficulty. This happens when the game confuses the Wiimote for the standard guitar controller that usually comes with the game.

While it may be an interesting way to play the game if you want to give yourself an extra challenge by strumming manually on the Wiimote, this is a glitch that doesn't exactly reflect well on the developers just the same. However, the glitch is pretty much isolated only in multiplayer and co-op mode where two controllers end up getting mixed up.

If you want to see how the glitch occurs, you can take a look at the video below:
