Okay peoples, letz run this showz like one of them weird wildlife conservation commercials...
FACT: Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas all appeared on the Xbox, no GTA game ever made it to the GameCube.
FACT: The only GTA games to make it to a Nintendo platform were the handheld top-down titles Grand Theft Auto (Game Boy Color, 1999), Grand Theft Auto 2 (GBC, 2000), and Grand Theft Auto Advance (Game Boy Advance, 2004).
STATEMENT: "The fact is there will be M-rated content on the Wii console, EA has already announced that they're bringing [the GTA-like crime game] The Godfather to our console. And we want every single best-selling game to be available on Wii. Whatever that content is." - Reggie Fils-Aimie, Nintendo of America President.
WHAT'S TRUE: Take-Two and Nintendo are talking. Reggie Fils-Aime revealed this in a recent MTV News Interview.
THE CLINCHER: Requests for comments sent to Nintendo, Take-Two, and Rockstar regarding the possibility of seeing GTA on the Wii had not been returned.
WHAT Wii'll PROBABLY SEE: GTA on the Wii.
...Nice to think about all o' that ain't it? Note that this is still mostly a rumor. It could just well be Nintendo and Take Two talking about a whole new game for the Wii. But still, Grand Theft Auto is a franchise that is a must-have for any console, especially now that the 360's starting strong in the genre with games like Saints Row.

i dont know how well this would play, it would have to be heavily modified and would be ugly as !
Remember, this would look significantly better than GTA 3, as it is developed for a much more capable system than PS2. But yes, it will still look fairly average when compared to next-gen GTA4.
And something inside me wants a game that uses the Wii remote as a club to beat unsuspecting pedestrians. I know it's juvenile, but still fun!
this game could be nice. I dont think Wii is that weak in the graphics department.

That would certainly change a lot, wouldn't it? GTA releasing on the Wii, that is.
My opinion, I think it'd be cool. More lawsuits, probably, what with the "immersive" nature of videogames, the Wii moreso than any other console to date.
Regarding graphics, I personally thought that the GTA series ALWAYS kinda looked on the ugly side. I don't think people who played GTA really cared about the graphics, they mostly juts wanted to run around and shoot cops. I mean people.
Somehow I think this Nintendo vs Take Two talsk is more about bringing over Table tennis game to wii, because it seems fitting playing it with wiimote.
I have always thought GTA looked like crap, too. I have NEVER looked at a GTA game and been like 'wow, those graphics are something else'. Moreover, I've never seen the big deal about the games. I've played two of the games for a little bit and was struggling to figure out what all the hype was about. I wouldn't ever buy a GTA game...or rent one...or download one, but hey, I'm sure the millions of people that love the games would love to see it on Wii.
Take-two said that they're intreasted in making a baseball game for the Wii, but I hope that they do bring GTA to the Wii just for the fact that Nintendo DOES need to break this dang kid thing people have in thier minds

I'm glad they're talking, this is Nintendo's chance to get out of that "kiddy-image"(Even though I don't see the point in it).
If a GTA game comes out of this or something similar, I will be very happy indeed. This would cease alot of arguments between Nintendo and Sony fanboys;

I'm not really excited about it. Well, I'm not a huge GTA fan even though I like the idea of a huge environment and you can do whatever you want like, the name of the game, grand theft auto, which is probably the greatest part of the game. But I don't think I'd play it on Wii and I'm not looking forward to it. Call of Duty 3 and games like that will be better.

I am a HUGE fan of GTA but the fact of people wanting to see a grand theft auto on the Wii is pretty stupid. Here's why. First off the stats on the Wii have just been released and in all honesty it has lower stats then an original XBOX. you are going to be paying 250$ for a gamcube! And i say gamcube because nintendo does not know how to use the hardware that they have.
Also just think for one second how hard it would be to play a GTA game with that stupid controller.

Nintendo doesn't know how to use the wii?
you do know most devs WILL know how...look at RE4(which came out before the ps2 counterpart) and looked 10x better then most games out at that time.
I'm sure we will see games that will look amazing when compared to the 360 and ps3.
The stats for the wii are way better then the gamecube.

Flippo go eat *****, Nintendo doesn't know how to use their hardware. Tiwlight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy, MP3, and whole lot more. I really don't give a ***** about GTA by the way because the San Andreas experience was good enough. GTA is overall a boring ass game so, I don't see why people are pysched about this. Companies want to make money and they hop on a system bang wagon in a minute to do so..
okay Twilight Princess looks decent at times but lets not forget that it has taken 6years to make this game. Compare that to Gears of War which as taken only two years to create. And to add on Resident Evil 4 wasn't made by Nintedo it was made by CAPCOM!
