Ubisoft's next gen videogame title Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 hasn't just stirred up controversy, it has also muscled its way onto the top of the UK All Formats charts, knocking down Square Enix's Final Fantasy XII from the top spot in the process.

Despite logging impressive sales and winning a BAFTA award, the original Ghost Recon for Xbox 360 never got to to take the top spot.

This ends Final Fantasy XII's two week reign at the top, and it's now lodged in the number two position. Rockstar's budget-priced Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories sits at number three, while Sega's Sonic and the Secret Rings climbed up one spot to number four. Rounding out the top five is RealTime Worlds' Crackdown, which dropped three places to number 5.
