Grand Theft Auto 4 to launch between February and March 2008 |

Tired of reading about Take-Two Interactive's financial results? Well, here's one additional tidbit from Gamespot that might catch your fancy. Take-Two recently confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 4 would be coming out simultaneously on the Xbox 360 and PS3 within the next two to three months. Gamespot apparently had a conference call with Take-Two, and they reaffirmed that the game would come out on the two consoles sometime between February and March of next year. They also noted that the Xbox 360 version would receive downloadable content into the fiscal year 2009.
Related to this, Gamespot also asked Take-Two if the game will be seeing a Wii release. The Take-Two representative they were in contact with had this to say on the matter: "I think there are other titles that are better suited to the Wii than Grand Theft Auto 4."

It would suck on the Wii anyway. I doubt it could even handle the game to begin with, obviously beginning with graphics and physics, etc.
It'd be shredded and butchered to hell and back, and ruined. It'd flop on the Wii. That's just a fact of life. XD
The Wii couldn't handle GTA3 let alone 4.
Because I was just in GameSpot and they had a sheet of release dates with GTA IV listed as an October 2008 release.

actually that's not true. the wii could easily handle GTAIII including San Andreas, granted they would have to rework the game for the controls but it is technically feasible. the wii is as powerful as xbox1
and the original announcement was for two months ago. announcements don't mean much anymore.
The Wii will probably get a half assed port of the PSP's version of Liberty City Stories. Even though Wiis are selling well, nobody outside of Nintendo is putting any time or effort into the games.
What's that thing about the Wii not able to handle GTAIII???? It could be handeled by the PS2 and the Wii is stronger graphiocally and cpu wise so I'll let you draw the conclusions on facts instead of pure opinions.
2nd point. The actual comments that were made about GTA on the Wii was pointing that everyone laughed at the idea. Probably due in comparison with the next GTA installement that could not run on the Wii unless it was made from scratch for the console. They will prefer to put theyr efforts on original and new IP for the Wii.
Still I would like to see a GTA on Wii eventually... if not someone might do something like it in the future. There are a few games that looks a bit like it (ex:Scarface)
Why the hell should they putdownloadable s exclusives? on the ps3 we will buy the same game, but we won't have those, why? It's stupid. I mean, they should sell the game at a lower price on the ps3 then!!! so stupid. I hope the downloadable content will suck!
microsoft paid over 50 million to put extra episodes for the 360 thats why u won't see it on ps3.
and plus rockstar just took their money and ran why because with the announcement of new franchises for ps3 only means they really didn't want to work with microsoft.

I dont really care much cause I dont think im gunna even get this game, not that its not exclusive anymore, just cause im not really into GTA that much.

The real release date is March 17 2008 as seen on the Canadian Future shop web page. St. Paddy's day is going to be a drunken online mayhem.

Stop spreading false release dates and such that isn't true. Rockstar games have just stated the real RD. whether you think your funny posting oh no its October 8, oh its April, oh is March 17. Fact is its all BS. Its not official anyway.
Although they didn't specify an exact date, its the official word on when its coming out.
