GC 2006: Red Steel Artwork and Character Bios

We have almost 50 MB of artwork from the upcoming Wii shooter Red Steel. The art features some of the main characters in the game as well as the stunning locations in which you'll be doing battle. The artists are obviously very, very talented and currently, the game is going through a lot of tweaking to get the graphics and control to perfectly fit the Wii. As Ubisoft's flagship Wii title, it's getting a lot of attention. Hopefully it ends up as a must-have game for the Wii launch!

Is image 24 supposed to be the main character? He's the only american looking guy in the batch and he does have both a sword and a gun like the player will have. Either way, he looks very cool. And I'm guessing the girl in image 20 is his girlfriend we hear about.



After seeing this, the new trailer and the new arena screenshots, I'm certain that Red Steel will be as big as Metroid Prime was on GC. It's going to be another one of those must have games that many people buy a Wii for.

I just hope they will amke the gameplay(swords fighting and aiming) better than what they seem to be in those trailers. Well, the youtube video where one of the devs or something plays that target range map, it looks pretty *****in' cool. And the sword fighting could be better, although I think many people would be happy with it now too. I mean, pre-made moves.
