No Image - No image avaialbe of the accessories :(With every video game system launch, it is accompanied by both a ton of good and/or bad games along with similar (good/bad) accessories. Whenever I walk into a video game store looking to buy a system, I always look on the shelves for the accessories when I first get my new system, whether it is a handheld or a console.

It seems like Gamestop has listed several Wii accessories on their website, all of which are relatively affordable. The only thing that you can get a better deal on are the SD memory sticks (which can be found on various online retailers for about 30-40$ for 1gb). The list makes some of us wonder - will we be carrying our Wii around in a sling bag? Do we need a protection kit for our Wii (Nintendo has a famous reputation of making safe, and nearly unbreakable consoles). Take a look at the list below -
  • Wii Controller Glove 9.99
  • Wii G-Pak Travel Case 29.99
  • Wii Game Wallet 9.99
  • Wii HD Premium Component Cable 59.99
  • Wii Memory SD 1.0GB 59.99
  • Wii Memory SD 512MB 39.99
  • Wii S-Video Premium AV Cable 39.99
  • Wii Sling Bag 29.99
  • Wii Storage & Protection 1.0GB Kit
Note: These accessories have a pre-release date of 11/1/06 - more launch speculation for you Nintendo fans!

HD

When they say HD I think they mean component cables. With thoes types of cables it will be possible for Wii to output 480p. If possible, a game might even output 1080i like GT4 on the PS2.

What? Third Party?

I like how they say Nintendo has a reputation for nearly unbreakable consoles. I mean expect for the fact 80% of DS's had cracked hinges. And I dont even know how you ***** up a cartridge based system. But they're Nintendo, so the gaming media brushed it under the rug. If it'd had been Microsoft, we would have never heard the end of it. So long story short: Nintendo makes unreliable, defective consoles. However, it's not generally reported on because the media is biased, so the perception is they make reliable consoles. However this is false.

Oh dear Lord "Bill", shut the ***** up. You are obviously a pre-adolescent p.rick who doesn't know s.hit and started gaming on a *****ing xbox. I've been playing video games since *****ing PONG, and guess what? Ninty makes a damn good product, and I would LOVE for you to back up the fact that a whopping, EIGHTY PERCENT of the ds lite's have cracked hinges! Really now? Considering Ninty has sold OVER 14 MILLION DS LITE handhelds that would make somewhere around 11.5 MILLION DEFECTIVE. Yeah son, go home, you just got told.

#9 you're a retard.

Dude Bill you're and idiot, Nintendo makes great quility products and you offically don't know *****. You should respect Nintendo for what they have have done in the history of gaming you homo. Right on #10 Lancer!

don't fret

It's just sony fans who are getting ticked off at countless bad news for the ps3 that they need to pick on a system that accually looks good and will do what they say it will.

8. Gamewiz

Accessories can be third party too. None of these are made by Nintendo. Most are just generic third party stuff. It's still kind of cool to see though.

go lancer

k the gme cube was so freaking awesome you could drop it down the stairs and it would still play a game. they tested it on x play long time ago it was jokes. so the wii will be a pretty sturdy machine.

something

I've dropped my gamecube almost everytime I play. I get to into my games and pull on the cord.My gamecube is next to my tv, that's 5 feet high and it has never given me any problems. I bought it when it came out five or four years ago.
