Emergent announced on Oct. 22 that several game developers have licensed the Gamebryo Casual engine, which debuted late August.Gamebryo Casual is described by Emergent as production software that can deliver the quality of big budget titles on any platform even with limited allowances for time and money. The games currently in development span the genres from action to strategy and may be found soon on the PSN, XBLA, WiiWare and the PC.
The developers mentioned in Emergent's press release are 51.com, Digital Embryo, DIGITALIC, Hidden Path, Stickmen and Wideload Games.
The more astute of you may remember that the original Gamebryo engine was used in such games as Dark Age of Camelot, Pirates! and Oblivion (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) so Gamebryo Casual has quite the pedigree.
