Spider-Man versus Marvel Zombies to become a game? - Image 1

More rumors today courtesy of the recent Intellisponse leak, this time in the form of a game that may or may not see the light of day. Since this is the first we've heard of it, assume that the next following paragraphs are a rumor until more information is revealed to the public.

Alright, here's the rumor in one simple premise: Spider-Man versus the Marvel Zombies. That's what the leak is saying. A game featuring Spider-Man taking on wave after wave of super-powered zombie for the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii.

While we think the premise is cool as a video game, here's what made us pause. In the Marvel Zombies storyline, Spider-Man is infected by the alien zombification virus for most of the series. The bottom portion of the leak notes that you can fight the zombies or become one yourself, which sort of reconciles that idea, but we think that this may be a marketing idea (cool as it is) that they're pitching because you're playing a famous character who's supposed to be a zombie to begin with, and not one of the other characters.

In any event, we'll keep an eye out for any updates regarding this rumor. Until we learn more, you may want to just speculate or elaborate on how a Spider-Man vs. Marvel Zombies game would come to pass.

I have never heard of this comic book series in my life.

I mean what in the world are they doing, how many more Spiderman games are they gonna make?

This is taking the series a little far in money. I mean dude, it seems there just shooting these games up out butts for money.

It actually is a series of comics that's been running for a while. I just got back into marvel comics when I heard about Cap's death so I really don't know how long the Marvel Zombies series is, what exactly is happening in it, or if it's already over. But yea, it's not just a marketing thing to have made a video game, but as Victor B. said, the idea that it's a Spider-Man game instead of whoever the actual antagonist of the comics are/were kind of screws up the story. But then again, it is an alternate universe, so why not make an alternate universe for an alternate universe? Still, I think it'd be pretty good to put out some of those lesser known heroes into mainstream kind of like they did with Ultimate Alliance. Maybe it won't be just Spider-man? here's to hoping **crosses fingers**

The game/movie I'd really like to see though would be the Marvel Civil War. It'd be difficult as a movie, but if they could pull it off, it'd be awesome. The game could be like Ultimate Alliance too.
