G4's having problems with some Wii games

Activision is responsible for a lot of good titles. One of its more known series, Call of Duty3, will both see action on the PS3 and the X360. The same will happen to its Marvel Ultimate Alliance (PS3, X360) title. The publisher decided to port both games on the Wii. With Nintendo's revolutionary console, it's going to be quite an experience. But that doesn't always mean a good thing, or so says the guys at G4.

Marvel on Wii

After trying all versions of the two games in an ActivisionÂ’s presser, G4 doesn't really have something bad to say except for the Wii versions. Well, not necessarily bad. Rather, it was more of an expression of discontent. "The WiiÂ’s graphical limitations are impossible to ignore. I was honestly surprised at how rudimentary and old-school the graphics looked," reports G4 about the Marvel game.

CoD on Wii

Call of Duty 3
on the other hand, seems to be having issues with the controls. G4 laments, "The game seemed nearly unplayable, with the sights jerking around and the view changing with the smallest flinch of the controller." The game becomes usable after turning the sensitivity of the remote way down. Usable, take note, is their word. Not ours.

Nintendo indeed, have signed up a number of titles that seem compatible with the Wii. But being new in the the next-gen arena, it might need some help from successful games like the ones mentioned above to be able to gain ground.

Looks like the Wiimote has proven itself to be nothing more than a gimmick that has no place in serious games. Big surprise there.

hey mr. ralph, you're such an ignorant fool, it's not gimmicky it's only a few developers who have become lazy, like many first generation games, they all have their quirks, ie 360 games such as Madden and others... DS was once called gimmicky, well, we all know how that has turned out... history dictates the future and your ignorance is something to laugh at audibly!

g4 is full of idiotic 40 year olds who have never played games before kinda like the people at cnet, their opinion makes no impact at all in gaming

hey retards it's great to see that you guys don't take to account that G4 get paid a lot of money to play games and write a ***** load of stuff about games too. oh let's not forget game companies ask G4 to also preview their games too. I know that you guys are just jealous of those 40 year olds getting to play the wii before any of you retards, so try to not be *****es about it.

and btw, the wii is just an expensive Guncon, and just like it, it will get boring after a few hours.

not a reason to call each other losers. my god this is getting annoying. Even console is sweet and WILL do well all 3 of them. okay is that cool 3 will sell 3 will make another system in 5 years.

G4 is just saying that with this new tech it's going to be rather difficult to make games for it. Red Steel had probs in it at E3 if we all remember but they did say that they address the situation. G4 had no such press like that so they didn't get to it till it was a finish product so no going back. The Wii will need just as much time as the 360 did to get good games rolling out for it just as well as the ps3.

It takes time for developers to know how to make a great game for a specific console.

To Mario Metriod and Zelda fanboys you all know that if they belonged to Sony or Microsoft this would be the console that you would be using. The Wii will come in last place and if by some miracle it is in First place than consider my self in console gaming DEAD!

Yeah it's all about the graphics!

That's why the Sega Mastersystem, Sega Saturn, Nintendo64 and Nintendo Gamecube all won their consolewars :|

The graphically inferior NES, PSX and PS2 were totally killed by those... . ..

Even so with the PSP and the gimmicky DS..
