Wii - Image 1Every single frustration report about VC titles coming to other territories, especially Japan, and not here in North America ends here. Nintendo announced today four new classic games that has been added to the Wii Shop Channel in this side of the world. Before we get into details, Nintendo mentioned that the games will go live at 9 A.M., Pacific Time.

With that part already said and done, here are now the good stuff:
  • Mario Kart 64 (Nintendo 64, 1-4 players, 1,000 Wii Points): boasts great graphics, tons of unique power-ups and a stunning 3-D version of the legendary Battle Mode; improved courses and a revolutionary head-to-head four-player mode; includes 20 different courses filled with dips, valleys, jumps, tunnels and bridges.
  • Contra III: The Alien Wars (Super NES, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points): Players can join with a partner and battle through six stages of nonstop run-and-gun action. Collect power-ups, including bombs, flamethrowers, spread shots, lasers and machine guns to take out the aliens.
  • Bonanza Bros. (SegaGenesis, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points): Help the infamous Bonanza Bros. infiltrate a number of different locations ranging from banks to mansions to casinos, and don't get caught.
  • Comix Zone (SegaGenesis, 1 player, 800 Wii Points): Sketch Turner is an artist in New York City. One day while Sketch is drawing, a huge thunderstorm strikes the city. A bolt of lightning hits Sketch's image and brings it to life. Mortus magically transports Sketch into the pages of his comic book so that he can end his creator's life and become real. Now that he's a comic book superhero, Sketch can really put the hurt on the bad guys. Instantly, Sketch can fight like a one-man mercenary platoon.
There. So far so good, eh? Well, we expect things to get better as we progress. After all, Nintendo promises to update the list every Monday. And oh, for those of you who have high-speed Internet connection, don't forget that Wii points can be redeemed to download these games.

The price is okay. It's taxed for convenience just like ps3 store and 360 store. Sure you can go out and buy those games for a few less bucks, but you'd still have that cart to deal with plus the console that may or may not work. Here you just download into your Wii and bam! you have a game ready anytime with no blowing on or random oddities
