You may or may not know these crazy guys from Grasshopper Manufacture headed by Goichi Suda aka Suda 51 who were responsible for the PS2/GC title Killer 7, an extremely unique and experimental game that produced a cult following amongst gamers. The developer announced their support for Wii a while ago, and so here we see the first fruits of their work, a trailer for Heroes. While the game is not a direct successor to Killer 7, it features the same level of style and unique design. According to Grasshopper, Heroes will be aimed at a larger audience than their previous game, and will strongly concentrate on direct input with the Wiimote.

The release date for Heroes is currently set for Summer 2007.

» Hey

I liked it too, I mean it's not a "Player's Choice", but I don't feel bad about buying it.

The developer said the the trailer was only temporary - and they expressed concern that it wasn't a good enough trailer for the audience at E3 - hence, it wasn't shown. I agree, the voice acting was very tongue-in-cheek leaning towards painful, but I'm sure that it'll be a lot better in the finished version. Killer7 had excellent VA's and I'm sure this game will too.

» Source?

Jeez, this blog's bloggers are getting even more sloppy. This video originated from TheWiire.com whom had it as an exclusive before a ton of people tried to steal it (if it weren't for the watermark) and NOT include the source.

Anywho, for those that care, this is the full page of info from the Wiire.

» I don't quite know what to make of this...

From a movie standpoint:

Tron + Ghost in the Shell + FFVII: Advent Children + The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly + Army of Darkness (tongue-in-cheek)????

IT'S MADNESS!!

... yet, compelling.

Just can't wait. I enjoined Killer7 with it's strange/twisted storyline and everything. I hope "Heroes" will do just as good

That looked horrible, and when I heard the voice acting, I almost committed suicide FOR the designers... They have no honor... what a crock of *****.
