Find your Wii friends using the MiiPages

the MiiPages

Following the basic laws of supply and demand, someone saw a need, and that same someone has then promptly filled that need. We're talking about a new website known as the Miipages which was recently launched, and whose purpose is to make it easier for everyone to find new and old friends using their Wiis.

Because it's new, the site isn't perfect yet, though one has to admit that it serves its function very well. One can basically sign up at the site, add your Wii console number and create a name and short description of yourself which will then be displayed on the site so that other people can add you in the Mii channel. Who knows, maybe you'll turn out to be a Mii celebrity later on, so you'd want people to find you easily.

Though it's already good on its own, we're actually wondering if perhaps this will develop into the Wii-fied version of Friendster or MySpace. You think?

This really should have been implemented officially by nintendo. Although a third party site would be good, it fails to capture a fair chunk of the online community unless it gets extremely popular, and is susceptable to go offline indefinitely.

But on the whole a great idea!
