Fatal Frame Wii - Image 1While the first three entries in Tecmo's Fatal Frame series eventually got released in North America and Europe, things aren't looking as peachy for the Wii-exclusive Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse.

It's a shame since I was really looking forward to this, but apparently the problem lies with Nintendo. Tecmo published the first three games, but the Wii installment was published by Nintendo, who has since declined to release it in North America and Europe.

Tecmo has since washed their:

Nintendo holds the publishing rights to Fatal Frame Wii, which was developed by Tecmo LTD. and Grasshopper Manufacture and released in Japan on July 31, 2008.

Nintendo of America has since then decided not to publish the title in North America -- consequently, the title will not be released in this territory. As the owner of the IP, Tecmo feels very unfortunate that the fans of the series in North America will not have a chance to play the game, but respects the final decision made by Nintendo of America.

thanks a lot Nintendo, first Mother 3 now this, the fatal frame series is by no means a masterpiece but any game above average for the wii is a good thing

» yeah...just dumb

Agree with JrsMaster. I played it luckly but as a gamer i would Highly Recommend it for a Goooood Scare! But I Can NOT see why they won't release this. It wasn't bad! aside from slow running or anything Close to what MAdworld had, and aside from it being Deeply Cultured like any other Fatal Frame game to japans history, anyone could have gotten into it...

... : / ?

. IS Nintendo Scared??? XD
