Famitsu lists Resident Evil 0 for Wii release

Resident Evil Zero - Image 1The latest issue of the prominent Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu revealed interesting tidbits that caught our attention. Aside from the excitement of playing a Japanese version of The Orange Box as early as May, our feet went off the ground when a certain Biohazard 0 (Resident Evil 0 in the west) appeared in the list of summer releases in the land of the rising sun.

It is difficult to imagine a full remake of Capcom's Resident Evil 0 from the GameCube having no publicity at all, so we're guessing it's one of those direct ports like Resident Evil 2 and 3 from PlayStation to GameCube. However, if it will receive completely new controls in the veins of Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, it's definitely a mystery why we haven't heard of Resident Evil 0 on Wii before.

Another possible conclusion to this strange listing is that Famitsu made an honest typographical error. While we can't count out such mistake, it's definitely nice to believe that Yakuza 3 got a stellar 37 score (10/9/9/9) and Kane & Lynch are going to Japan. Our eyes are peeled for any official Nintendo announcements, so watch this space for updates!

From the information that I've read about this port, I'm pretty disappointed, but MCS, you are still a douche bag.

This is going to be nice. It is convincing me more of buying a Wii. I played this game on gamecube and I am up to the boss but my dumbas* left the gernade launcher a few doors back. I don't go back to get it since there are liquid zombies that regnerate and also I have low ammo.
