Factor 5 to turn its back on Wii?

factor5Nintendo and Factor 5 made a good team. They worked together on several projects, particularly for the games on the Nintendo 64 and GameCube. That's why more than just the disappointment that Factor 5 might not be developing for the Wii, is the surprise over the news that Factor 5 does not like the Wii.

In an interview with Electronic Gaming Monthly, software and video game developer Factor 5 talked about its PS3 offering, Lair, as well as its thoughts on Nintendo's Wii. What came as particularly surprising was the criticism of the company on Nintendo's next-gen console. Factor 5 was reportedly disappointed with the overall horsepower of the console and its lack of decent audio capabilities. Considering that the two companies go a long way back, it sure sends off those alarms hearing Factor 5 say anything remotely negative against Nintendo.

So, does this mean that we won't be seeing any of Factor 5's games on the Wii? We definitely hope not. We sure would love to have another Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, this time, aboard the Wii.
