European, Australian VC gets Mega Turrican

Retrogamers in Europe and Australia who enjoy side-scrolling shooters will probably want to know that the Virtual Console service in their region will be releasing Factor 5's Mega Turrican this week for 800 Wii points.

For those who aren't too familiar with this title, there's really not much to know. Your character is a member of the USS Freedom Forces who is entrusted with the Turrican suit to defend the earth from hostile alien forces. The suit can be upgraded with a variety of weapons including a multiple, laser, and a rebound shot.

So if you've been looking for a good side-scrolling shooter to pass the time, you might want to try out Mega Turrican.
