Euro VC update: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Castlevania |
Ó
Nintendo has just announced that as of March 23, Virtual Console fans in Europe will be greeted by two more classics. These well-loved games are no other than the original Castlevania and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.Originally launched in Japan for the SNES back in 1991 (1992 for North America and Europe), A Link to the Past follows the story of Link (who else?), and his adventures in preventing the dark lord Ganon from taking over the Light World (as usual). A Link to the Past is widely known for introducing the Zelda franchise, and the title has also been named as one of the best video games of all time. The legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is currently available for 800 Wii points.
Next is the very first of the Castlevania game series by Konami. Castlevania puts the player behind the controls of vampire hunter Simon Belmont, as he battles his way through zombies, monsters, and even faces Death itself/himself before his final confrontation with Count Dracula. Castlevania is available for download for 500 Wii points.
