Eternity's Child coming to WiiWare Download Channel instead |
Ó
Last September, we reported that Luc Bernard's masterpiece, Eternity's Child, would be appearing on both the Nintendo Wii and the Nintendo DS instead of the Xbox Live Arcade (SBLA). As an update, Mr. Bernard himself has confirmed that the game will not be on a Wii disc, but will be downloadable via the WiiWare Download Channel.
One one hand, the adjustment may prove beneficial to players, as that means Eternity's Child may be obtained at a cheaper price as a WiiWare title than it would as a full-fledged Wii disc. Generally speaking, if a game can deliver solid fun and yet sell for a lower price, gamers are likely to pick it up.
Bernard reportedly changed his mind about the originally planned XBLA release for Eternity's Child due to the 150 MB file limit on downloads. The ceiling on WiiWare downloads, however, tops at 40 MB, so how Bernard and co. will actually pull it off on the latter service remains to be seen.
