During a Midlands computer fair, two men were arrested for operating a stall that peddled a while-you-wait console chipping service while simultaneously selling pre-chipped Nintendo Wii units, illegally copied Microsoft Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii games, and counterfeit DVD films in the Robin Park Sports Complex.

The Wolverhampton City Council Trading Standards Service, West Midlands Police and ELSPA investigators did further investigations on the two men. One of the men arrested was running a fully functional chipping factory in his own garage. As for the other, the investigators found a substantial amount of Wii and Xbox 360 games in his home.

With their results of their investigations and actions taken regarding the two men, Michael Rawlinson, managing director of ELSPA said:
