That's strange why there's no Rock Band on the Wii. Maybe EA doesn't see any profit potential since no other third party developers have made any money on Wii games. Might as well get the PS2 version for budget conscious gamers since the PS2 has much better and cheaper games, DVD player, Dolby Digital sound, and costs less than half the Wii price new.

Supply Problems

Rock Band hardware is in low supply at the moment to even meet demand for either 360 or PS3, let alone PS2. I dont know why they decided to release the PS2 version considering there are so many waiting for the High Def version. But if they're going to release it on PS2, there's no reason they couldnt release it on Wii.. I just think it was too soon for either.
