EA still mum on Rock Band for Wii |
Ó
It seems Electronic Arts is still giving Wii owners the runaround when asked about a possible appearance of Rock Band (PS2, PS3, Xbox 360) on Nintendo's next gen home video game console.According to GamePro, EA's Bryce Baer said in an email that EA "[has] not announced any plans for a Wii version at this time." A PlayStation 2 version of the game has already come out, though, so a Wii version is not that farfetched.
Plus hey, this is EA. Bringing games to almost every available system has practically been a trademark of theirs over the years. Case in point: Harmonix CEO Alex Rigopulos said last year that EA will, "at some time, bring Rock Band to every [important] platform."
More updates as soon as we get them.

Might as well get the PS2 version for budget conscious gamers since the PS2 has much better and cheaper games, DVD player, Dolby Digital sound, and costs less than half the Wii price new.

I dont know why they decided to release the PS2 version considering there are so many waiting for the High Def version. But if they're going to release it on PS2, there's no reason they couldnt release it on Wii.. I just think it was too soon for either.
