EA showcases Boom Blox gameplay videos at GDC 2008 |
Ó
Developed in cooperation with film director Steven Spielberg, we can finally see how Boom Blox's innovative gameplay sets it apart from other titles of the same genre.
The first video shows how the game makes use of the head tracking peripheral, which allows you to guide your cursor across the screen as you tear apart the various "blox" littering the background.
You can also take a look at the bonus Easter egg previewed during the event. It shows how you can use the head tracking feature to move through the stage in a free-form 3D environment - much like a virtual simulator of sorts - while the blocks are literally being blown away.
We're not sure if this is exactly what Spielberg envisioned his first video game would be like, but we're pretty sure that Boom Blox is a definite milestone for the award-winning silver screen director to make his mark on the industry.
In any case, we hope you enjoy the videos we have for you below.
