DominatingDespite relatively low sales during the holiday season, Electronic Arts dominated the charts, particularly the number one position, throughout 2006. With 27 weeks at having a number one game, EA left rival publishers struggling.

GamesIndustry reports that it wasn't just the EA sports games that spent time enjoying the number one spot, Black and the EA's The Godfather game both managed a short stint at number one. The closest that any other publisher got to EA was THQ and Take 2.
