Driving on the Wii?

Leave it to Nintendo to make gamers change their play style. Blakguy's blog on Jeuxfrance.com has released a picture of driving instructions for the upcoming Excite Truck. We're not sure where he got it, but turning and lifting your truck by moving the controller around seems like a pretty good way to simulate driving. It's a bit of a stretch for those used to using an analog stick, or perhaps even a d-pad, to move around but it's innovative at the very least.

It's almost certain that this new style of play is going to shake things up for Nintendo, and you can almost see the camps for the new and old controller types getting ready for flame wars once the Wii shows itself. Hopefully, Nintendo will find a middle ground that will allow both sides to work the way they want to.

Middle ground = Lowest common denominator = Blandness and formality

(Take EA as an example)

I want the scales to be shifted to something NEW 

While this has been known for a while the pic is brand new.

I like it looks fun.

Side note: no need to pick on EA when it has absolutly nothing to do with the topic at hand. If you want to pick on something you can say least this game isn't a FPS

I seem to recall this being the display in front of the game at E3. It hadn't occurred to me to take pictures of the control schemes, but this was a great idea. I'll check through my pics to see if I have more from the other games, but the person with this pic probably has more from the other games shown at E3 too.
