Double Dragon, The Last Ninja, World Games heads to PAL Virtual Console |
Ó
The Europe and Australia Nintendo Wii Virtual Console service will be offering three awesome new classics this week. Fans of old school 8-bit beat-em-ups will probably gravitate to Double Dragon while more cerebral players should direct their attention to The Last Ninja. Sports junkies on the other hand can go crazy over World Games.Any gamer would probably recognize Taito's Double Dragon which came out back in 1987 on the NES. The game is just as you remember it, complete with co-op play, various weapons, and entertaining foes such as Abobo. This game can be downloaded for 500 Wii points.
The Last Ninja, which first came out in 1987 on the Commodore 64 is an adventure game with puzzles and intense combat. Gamers have to guide Armakuni, the last ninja, as he goes on a quest for revenge against the Shogun who wiped out the rest of his clan. This game will be available for 500 Wii points as well.
We now move on to World Games, an eight player sports themed game originally released for the Commodore 64 by Epyx. This game has players representing one of 18 countries in eight events, namely, Weightlifting, Barrel Jumping, Cliff Diving, Slalom Skiing, Log Rolling, Bull Riding, Caber Toss, and Sumo Wrestling. Expect this game to be available for 500 Wii points.
