Don't be hatin': Shia LaBeouf slams the Wii

Shia LaBeouf is clearly not a fan of the Wii. In an interview with The Big Download, Shia states that he doesn't "mess with the Wii" because "it's kind of an amateur console. I'm not into the Wii thing."

This came about when he was asked on his thoughts on the Wii version of the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PSP, DS, PS2, PC) game. Let's put this statement into context, shall we?

I haven't been able to play the Wii game because my hand is broken. I've just been playing Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. I would imagine that the Wii experience will be like... I don't mess with the Wii, to be honest with you. It's kind of an amateur console. I'm not into the Wii thing.

This is how in a simple way you can find out if it's a gamer you want to play with. Ask them if they have a Wii. If they say yes, get the f*** out of there.

Such strong feelings you've got there, bud. Apparently, he doesn't like the Wii so much that not even hottie Megan Fox can make him join her for a game of LEGO Star Wars. "Who wants to play the Wii version of LEGO Star Wars. I'd rather eat glass."

Games he enjoyed playing as a kid are Mortal Kombat, Doom, Donkey Kong, Sonic the Hedgehog and Mario Kart.

Well for someone who hasn't really tried the Wii, I say that's pretty harsh. Try the merch first before dissing on it.

Who, huh? Hes not a famous actor I know.

He doesnt even count as a famous actor, hes a amateur actor, he clearly has no sense of fun.

I would believe someone like Harrison Ford or um someone way smarter than Shia, hes nothing but a Disney child still.

Hes trying to run away from his pasr but hes a sad little boy, hes Disney.

Hes just a kid, he doesnt know anything. He acts all tough and such at interviews but sad truth is, those interviewers have more money than he does, yet he does not realize how immature he acts around them.

David Letterman for instance, Shia thinks hes better than him, not in anyway possible and never will be, hes not good enough.

Shia acted all high and mighty in front of David as if he were richer than David Letterman, thats not true in the least. Hes just trying to run away from his past.

David could easily shove money up the boys butt like its nothing, the kid, when it comes to acting, he is nothing.

He seriously is an immature actor who does not know any better and this is why he will not get any good respect. He may get respect but not good.

In my list of famous actors, the kids a total noob.

If you want an amateur, hes the amateur right there.

He doesnt count, if the Wii sucks. Hes not that famous yet, NEVER WILL BE!

He will always be known as the Disney child.

So what you're saying is that it's okay to say positive things about the console, but totally incorrect to say negative things about it?

This is a forum, lordoftheluis24 , and people should be welcome to express whatever they want as long as it's relevant to the topic and kept rather tasteful.

I believe that the fact of the matter is you can't stand that the novelty of the Wii has completely worn off and the true undercoat of the console is revealed: a children's toy that is under-powered, outdated and unentertaining.

The reason people that don't like the system come to Wii.qj, is in hope that there is some announcement that there is something on the horizon that will truly make the Wii worthwhile.

So far, that announcement has yet to show up.

Really he is a big up and coming star with Now 2 Big name Movies hitting over 708mil in Transformers 1 worldwide, and i am sure Transformers 2 will hit the same if not better.

as of right now Transformers 2 has hit around 180mil in the USA alone.

Anytime anyone says anything about the 360 or Wii positive or anything negative about the PS3, the comment ends up with zero stars. However when it is vice versa, as this comment thread has shown...FIVE STARS! Seriously, someone just saying "I agree. The Wii is ****" is a **** worthless comment, but it had five stars? well, it's not just (system).qj. I imagine that many users just type in www.qj.net to get news for all the current-gen systems. If they're fanboys of course they'll hate on another system. They already have their minds made up about something and once that happens, they try to lord their opinions on other people. Just take them with a a grain of salt.

Personally, I think the Wii has decent selection of great games. It's my opinion, not a fact. It's a shame a lot of users can't distinguish between the two.

Of course, like ALL the other systems, the Wii has lackluster titles, especially those that over-/under-/misuse motion controls. But there are just as many games you can spend hours on.

Girandhistacos has a point in mentioning that this is a forum. People are welcome to express ideas and opinions that are relevant to the topics at hand. It's just a shame that many users tend to submit comments that don't aid the community in some way (like saying that a particular system is on par with excrement). You just have to get used to reading things like that.

Appreciate your system for whatever reason you want. People who call themselves "true" gamers or just plain "gamers" and shun the Wii because of it, just have different own ideas of what gamers and gaming are. If Shia Lebouf thinks the Wii is an indicator of a non-gamer, whatever. No one likes him anyway. (j/k)

Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying the Wii is as great as a PS3, or 360, it's just fun = fun if you get what i mean. I have a 360 and Wii, and though i play my 360 more, i still play the Wii just to get away from the competition and just play a 4-Playered party game. I mean, since i did pay $250 for it, mind as well have fun right? Not every game for the Wii is what you can say "entertaining" at the very least, but if i could play it for an hour without dropping the remote, i'm pretty satisfied.

I am not a Nintendo, nor Microsoft fanboy. Like i said, Fun = Fun.

Wii is great for golf games. Especially with the MotionPlus. I just love playing the Tiger Wood 2K. However, I wouldn't play anything else for now.

whoever said he is a hollywood star he aint, he is trying to get there he has only acted in 2 big movies both being transformers......honestly there is a cheaper ,younger,better looking actor that could play the role possibly even better than him.To that i say stardom is far away.

the only reason why wii is not truly being seen for its style was because of the games on it you wont see l4d,bioshock,fe ar,many other fps on the console because ppl just dun want to do it.

The problem with the Wii is gainning money through putting out Peripheral one after and another and quite honestly, I find the Wii remote to be a big gimmick. I'm not saying it can be fun, with the right games like Wii sports or Fit. It's perfect for those. But for games like Mario, Metroid, Zelda and all that I want to be able to play on a controller and, here's the big part that many would agree, RELAX instead of using my arms and flapping them around.

Some games do not at all use the controller correctly, and some games do not even need the Wii Remote at all. The mandatory Wii Remote being used is a pain in the ass, and that's not what games was meant to be about. It was a past time(hobby) that you can do resting and enjoying. Like reading a book.

Shia LeBouf is one of the greatest actors of are time and he's making his way up there. Bale just got his way to the top a few years ago and now he gets a chance. He is also right the Wii is for casual gamers, house wives, and little kids. I just turned my Wii on after 5 months of collecting dust. I own 6 good Wii games since 80% of them are just shovelware. I also wish you Nintendorks would shut up.

I personally think that good actors can be in crappy movies, and bad actors can be in good movies. My point being, sure you can say that Labeau didnt make Transformers great, and it was already great... but how many movies are actually dependent on the actor to make it great anyways? It does happen, but still a movie isnt usually based on the actor making it great, its the movie itself and its storyline and how well they utilize all the actors. Give Labeau some credit, he wasnt placed in a great title just because he "sucks at acting"
