Dodge Dealers 400 race: Wii car second place, Halo car's engine blows |
Ó
Even if you aren't a hardcore racing fan on the international scene, gamers might want to take a look at the recent events of the Dodge Dealers 400 race at the Dover International Speedway.
Two video game-sponsored cars took place in the event: Wii's Ford make car driven by Greg Biffle and the Halo's Dodge driven by David Stremme. Spectators in Dover saw a lot of action during the event in the form of fast-paced racing circuits, as well as a host of accidents littering the track.
Included among these mishaps was the Halo car which had a burned out engine and was only able to complete 287 laps, placing only 39th out of the 43 drivers who competed.
It was good news, however, for the Wii camp as they finished at a phenomenal second place behind Office Depot's Carl Edwards. Even the winner praised Biffle's driving skill, despite him having his own mechanical troubles with his vehicle.
In retrospect, the rivalry between consoles just never seem to end - be it on the race track or in the video gaming industry. Let's just hope the outcome of this race isn't a prophetic one in nature when it comes to the two gaming giant's console rivalry.

ha Ha the X-bot got a RROD!!! lol. I wonder if microsoft built the car for him? Is it still under warranty?
Atleast it was in the race, unlike the PS3. Zing.
That's pretty good... Very ironic. Too bad it wasn't the Xbox 360 car specifically, that would have made it even better...
***** urself
I am no PS3 fanboy... I am a Wii fanboy. Oh, and Jobo59, I don't have to f**k myself, your mom does it every night.
In all seriousness she does. Nightly, and man she is great.
You sis joined in last night as well. AMAZING.
Now to make this a more mature comment...
Being a fanboy does not change the fact that X-Box 360's have serious hardware problems, which somehow translates to the X-Box + Halo 3 car. It seems that anything Microsoft touches is plagued with problems, whether it be X-Box 360, Nascar, or even Windows. Oh wait, Windows has forever been plagued with problems... leading to the ultimate virus - Vista.
I will end this rant with a bow, and let Jobo sulk and eventually retaliate.
Well Halo 3 sold over 4 million copies, a lot more than the same washed up mario games ever could.
In fact, what the hell do wii owners buy for their systems? 360 software sales easily outsell both the PS3 and wii combined by a WIDE margin, so to me it sounds like you're jealous you have to play gamecube games and crap mario games that haven't changed since N64 days.
Gee what did microsoft do, that guy must be a complete idiot they got to drive that car, it aint easy to overheat (burnout) a dodge or do damage of any sort to the dodge engines. Im guessing the idiots working on it made modifications without taking into account the extra heat produced with those mods.
