This is so cool. It's fun to watch, and you can see how you could really go wild in your living room if you have Wii DJ setup like this. You just wave your arms and Wii controller around to throw in effects, and you'll look like a pro.

Note that no auto-synching was used in this vinyljelly YouTube video. You can see that it's DJ ! who syncs it and adds effects using the Wiimote.

And if you're still skeptical, you can head out to San Francisco where "The First Official Wiijing Live Performance with DJ!" is going to happen at BootieSF on May 12, 2007.

Who knows. Wiijing might become the new underground art form. Just throw in a Wiimote-controlled robot, a few more GlovePIE tricks, get your rechargeable Wiimote batteries ready, and make room for laser tag, and you've got yourself a Wiimote party.

Now it's just a matter of whether you guys are faster than we are at getting to the patent office and filling out a patent on glowing Wii remotes, and you'll be the king of the Wii dance party. Glowmotes, anyone?

» very nice use of a.....

i have to say, i just got done using the Wii for the first time like 15 minutes ago... my friend could barely kick me outta his house like 4 and a half hours later. I am extremly pleased with nintendo's new leap into a much more versatile and expansive gaming console... i can't wait to play it again. But onto the real comment, the use of the Wii for mixing and dj'ing was quite brilliant. i think the video doesn't do it any justice, but i can tell, that if u pass the WiiMotes too someone with a little more groove it would be quite a spectical to observe. Very nice idea... keep them coming, we must all take heed and go get a Wii!!!!!
