For those who missed our first coverage on the PlayStation Portable game Death Jr. 2: Root of Evil being ported to the Nintendo Wii, be informed that Backbone Entertainment has decided to do so and tapped Eidos Interactive as its publisher.

According to the developer, the Wii version is going to serve as a "special edition," with the addition of more polygons and higher resolution textures, as well as more voice acting compared to the original PSP build.

Needless to say, Death Jr.: Root of Evil will be utilizing the Wiimote and Nunchuk for controls. In line with this, Backbone Entertainment also said that the UI of the title will be overhauled to make the game more user-friendly.

To see the things that has been changed in the Nintendo Wii version, here's a gameplay video titled Death Comes Quickly courtesy of IGN. Death Jr.: Root of Evil is scheduled for a Spring 2008 release.
