The games may be $10 cheaper on new releases, but you get what you pay for. Nintendo also rarely if ever reduces the prices for their games. Mario 64 for the DS is still $30 and it was released 3 years ago!

I think you sound more and more childish each post I read. The point I'm making is, If somebody wants a Wii and isn't lucky (if you can call it that) or an expert product locator, they're going to have to pay $400 for one. This IS Nintendo's fault. I can only speculate if the shortage was intentional or not, but I think so. They know there will be price gouging if there isn't enough supply but they didn't make enough anyway. It's a win win situation for them, but screws over people that actually are still Nintendo faithful. Here's why: If the Wii flopped, few unsold consoles in warhouses. If it was successful, high demand eliminates the need for advertising and everyone thinks they're great. No price cuts needed for years even though obviously overpriced. How often do you see a Wiimote without Nunchuck? How many games can be played without the nunchuck? Even the zapper uses it. Therefore, the Wii controller is $60. That's Nintendo's plan for ripping you off more. They're experts at it. Your replay value argument for Wii games is nothing but moronic. What game would that be? Wii sports? Doing the same mononotous tasks over and over again never gets old? I can't imagine any Wii casual game that would be fun for more than 30 minutes. The 3 "hardcore" games aren't any better than other systems, just fewer of them and last gen quality.
