image from IGN - Image 1Funny man and original Ghostbuster Dan Akroyd sat down with Newsweek to give out his piece on the upcoming videogame versions of their hit franchise, The Ghostbusters. Asked which version of Atari's The Ghostbusters: The Video Game (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3DS, PC) also on he preferred, he answers: the Wii.

"Because it resembles the animation that was done in 'The Incredibles'. Anybody who looks like an Incredible is automatically a superhero," he explained. "And I was so pleased that they shaved off at least 60 pounds from my current bulk."

He also took time to talk about the third installment of the movie, and how they'll be passing on the torch to younger blood, "much prettier and much better looking, like Alyssa Milano." Another point of interest were his thoughts on the translation of the movie into the game. We've all been burned before, you know that.

Mainly, what's perfect for a videogame was the equipment that we originated in the first movie. It's not a gun. We're not simulating murder. We're sending the entities back where they came from. We're sending them into the next dimension, we're confining them, we're vaporizing them, but they're going back to where they came from, because energy can neither be created nor destroyed. The equipment, the use of the car, the use of Manhattan, all really worked. The thing that got left out was perhaps the romance element, between Billy and Sigourney in the movies. Certainly the format of ghostbusting lends itself to a videogame beautifully.

There's  more he talked about too, so if you're out for a good, fun read, follow the source link to Newsweek below.

I really like him as an actor.. He's been in a lot of movies and he does pretty well. In Neighbors he's hilarious, especially since him and John Belushi swapped their usual roles, and they both did very well. It seems a lot of the best actors die young (John Candy, John Belushi, even Bernie Mac.. he was so funny.), and I hope Akroyd continues to do films!
