Team D2Pro has launched its latest update for the D2Pro. Firmware update version 0.9b is here and Uta has a lot of new features.Among the most important additions is that you can now install the drive-based chip using only nine wires. The D2Pro team gives a few notes to those using their wares. Specifically, these are:
- This is a beta version. Use it at your own risk!
- A d2pro with SPI flash is required
- Existing 13/15/17/19 wire installs are not compatible with this update as the wiring is different
- 9 wire installation on d2c!
- Region autodetect: no need to set region jumpers.
- All-new drivecode: no drivecode from other modchips have been used.
- Configurable via d2prog:
- Single layer original disc drive speed
- Dual layer original disc drive speed
- Single layer backup disc drive speed
- Dual layer disc backup drive speed
- Audiofix for Gamecube games
- Region override
- Improved drivecode upload speed: up to 5x faster than other 9 wire solutions
