Cult classic redux: Alien Breed confirmed for 2009 |

Worms creators Team17 has confirmed that they're going to release Alien Breed sometime next year. Excited much? Yeah, chances are, if you're not a fan of blasting through hordes of zombies, alien slaughter might be your thing.
Aside from showing off the new logo for the game, Team17 hasn't revealed any details about this iteration of Alien Breed. While the original was released back in 1991 for the Amiga platform (with an expanded Special Edition '92 released a year after), the Alien Breed scheduled for 2009 could be anything, really.
It might come in the form of a simple port made available through online networks (PSN, XBLA, Virtual Console) or an enhanced remake much like Bionic Commando: Rearmed.
