marioIt's funny how this next-gen business is being dominated by old yet dependable titles. As we all know, all three systems are offering retro games one way or another. For Nintendo's case, they are doing it via the Virtual Console. And being the Nintendo fans that you are, you well know that VC is Mario country.

With that said, we're happy to report to the rest of the world, especially to our friends from the Land Down Under, that classic platformer Super Mario Bros. is now available in their territory. Just like its U.S. counterpart, the game is priced at 500 Wii points which is quite reasonable when you really think about it. Hey! We are talking about Mario here.

Anyway, please take note that the one ported was the NES version.you can't get any more "old-school" than that - no SNES All Stars version or added extras of the Game Boy Color rendition. Just pure, classic Mario. Welcome aboard Aussie!

doesn't work on my TV.

I just got mario now (in UK region), when i clicked start my TV went off saying my TV is not compatible. a brand new 23" Samsung HD TV too... not tried all my downloads, but so far bomberman and r-type were working fine. i'll have to try again shortly, maybe it just won't work with the component cable set-up
