We have now an update for our recent article regarding the cover art of Nintendo Wii title Okami having watermarks of a known video game website. Capcom admitted the mistake and has taken steps to correct it.

Over at the official Capcom Blog, a post was created detailing the problem and what the company is offering as a solution. Part of the post reads:

As fans know, the real art of Okami is on the game disc itself, but given the artistic nature of this game, weÂ’d like the outside of the box to match the beauty contained within.

To that end, weÂ’re offering a free make-good gift to our fans. If you purchased Okami for the Wii, for a limited time, you can choose from one of the three art pieces below and Capcom will ship a high-quality version of the box cover straight to your door.

The mentioned three art pieces are what you can see below. Take a good look at them and choose the one which suits your taste best:

After choosing, you can head over to the source link below. It should take you to Capcom's dedicated page for this matter where you can fill up a form. But still, we can't help but think what happened to the person responsible for the error in the first place.
