Activision today announced the composer for Call Of Duty 3, the newest part in the series of WWII shooters that will see a release on the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii. The publisher signed Joel Goldsmith for the task (he is the son of legendary film score composer Jerry Goldsmith, responsible for many of the most popular movie themes known to man, such as those of 'Twilight Zone' or 'Star Trek'). The younger Goldsmith is fast making a name for himself; he has already received accolades for his work on Stargate Atlantis and other film projects. Always looking for new opportunities to create music for, he was the perfect choice for Call of Duty 3.Call Of Duty 3 is Joel Goldsmith's first video game project and he will try to capture the cinematic intensity that the music of the game is known for, melding it with his own style. “Goldsmith is one of the most versatile and talented music composers in the business and we’re excited to have him on board for Call Of Duty 3,” Tim Riley, Activision’s Worldwide Executive of Music said.
Now developed by Treyarch Games, Call of Duty 3 will appear on all available consoles in fall, delivering "the most immersive and cinematically intense war experience ever."

anyway, I hope he'll do good... he's not Danny Elfman but anyway I think game music are generally good, so I don't see why we could be bad... it's not like the music's in the 1st plan in a game ( maybe 3rd, story, graphics, sound.... )

He's probably fat from spending too much time on his ass composing music...not the most physically demanding talent...but hey if he spent time exercising, consider he probably has a bad metabolism, then he'd probably be a piss poor conductor/composor....
