Nintendo: Wii price cut for Europe If you've been following the rumor mill lately, you've probably run into one bit of speculation hinting at a possible price drop for the Wii console in Europe.

The rumor, as initially reported by Jeux-France, states that Nintendo would drop the basic Wii bundle price down to just € 149 (US$ 234) by  May.

The bundle, which includes a copy of Wii Sports, currently sells for € 249 (US$ 391). A Mario Kart Wii bundle would in turn be introduced for just Ã‚€ 199 (US$ 313). So, is Nintendo indeed going to start slashing prices by next month? According to a company spokesman, this may not be the case; Nintendo commented that the rumored price cuts are exactly just that: "rumour and speculation."

At the moment, Nintendo appears to be preoccupied with addressing the console's chronic supply shortages. To quote Nintendo of America's Fils-Aime's, every buyer who walks home sans a Wii "is literally a missed opportunity." for the company. Drop by again in case we receive any more updates relating to this topic

The shortage is so Nintendo doesn't have to lower the price. It's working great I'd say. Why would Nintendo lower the price by $154? Nintendo isn't going to lower any prices until their famous "shortage" is over and sales drop.

» WTF!?!?!?!?!

So you're still holding onto the idea that people are only buying a Wii because they are hard to get?

Even after ALL THIS TIME, professional reviews, user reviews....

Your stupidity has no end does it?

» HA

LOL. Simply no comment here. I'm getting to the point where I think No Sense just shoots himself in the foot with every piece of stupid that flies out of his mouth.

"So you're still holding onto the idea that people are only buying a Wii because they are hard to get?"

No, the Wii is being bought mostly because of the simple controller almost anyone can figure out. The shortage increases demand, not creates it. You'd think people would catch on to what Nintendo is doing after 16 months of "shortages" but idiots still must think it's just so incredible and that's why they're still not in stores.

» I just had to....

"LOL. Simply no comment here."

Really? If that was true, it would have ended there.

"I'm getting to the point where I think No Sense just shoots himself in the foot with every piece of stupid that flies out of his mouth."

I wouldn't call my comment a "piece of stupid" by making a compeling argument that can't be proven wrong.

Help! I have a piece of stupid flying out of my mouth! LOL!

» WTF!?!?!?!?!

"Again putting words in my mouth"

No, I'm not. I have MANY quotes from you stating that the Wii is only doing as good as it is because of the "FAKE" shortage. You can't even remember your own BS. You spread so many lies that even you can't keep up with them.

"No, the Wii is being bought mostly because of the simple controller almost anyone can figure out."

What the HELL does simple and almost anyone can figure out have to do with ANYTHING??? First of all, the wiimote is MORE complicated to figure out for those that have never used one before. Secondly, only a too hard or complicated remote could HURT sales. An easy to use controller would neither hurt or increase sales. All controllers are easy to use on current gen systems.

"The shortage increases demand, not creates it."

No, it doesn't. A demand has to EXIST BEFORE there is a shortage you numbskull!

"You'd think people would catch on to what Nintendo is doing after 16 months of "shortages""

You're half right, THEY WOULD CATCH ON. But there is NOTHING for them to catch on to. That's where all your confusion lies.

by ISOHaven - 2008-04-09 09:56
» WTF!?!?!?!?!

"Help! I have a piece of stupid flying out of my mouth! LOL!"

At least you can admit it! That's the first step.

The thing is there is no general reason to put effort into proving you wrong. The average person knows how stupid you are because unlike yourself they actually have COMMON SENSE.

But for the straggler that might not know better we slam you up against walls with nothing but FACTS to make sure you are buried where you belong.

» Might I suggest reading and comprehending?

"The shortage increases demand, not creates it."

No, it doesn't. A demand has to EXIST BEFORE there is a shortage you numbskull!"

There wouldn't be any explanation necessary for INTELLIGENT readers, but I'm on the Wii site so here it goes. YOU JUST AGREED WITH ME, YET YOU THINK YOU DISAGREED!!

Might I suggest proofreading your post before sending it in. That way, fewer people will notice you stupid you truly are.

Just some advice, I think you need it.

by Mister Common Sense - 2008-04-10 03:16
» That's your excuse?

"The thing is there is no general reason to put effort into proving you wrong. The average person knows how stupid you are because unlike yourself they actually have COMMON SENSE."

Let me get this straight, you will write a page full of essays arguing, ranting, and making out opinions to be facts, yet it's not worth your time to actually prove me wrong?

YOU CAN'T, NOR COULD YOU EVER. Giving up would be the smart choice. Needless to say I know it will continue. At least you keep me entertained while I'm at work!

@Mister Common Sense AND ISOhaven:

Is this fight really necessary? Do you really have to argue with each other on every Nintento related article? Do you really think that even one of your comments will ever change the opinion of the other one?

Mister Common Sense, You will always stay a Nintendo-hater, stop coming to the Wii section of QJ, you will only be hated even more because of your comments.

ISOhaven, you will always stay a Nintendo-fanboy, please stop defending everything that Nintendo does. They're not perfect, they also make mistakes and they are just as money-hungry as Sony and Microsoft.

So PLEASE, stop that stupid fighting before somebody gets really hurt.

» WTF!?!?!?!?!

"There wouldn't be any explanation necessary for INTELLIGENT readers, but I'm on the Wii site so here it goes. YOU JUST AGREED WITH ME, YET YOU THINK YOU DISAGREED!!"

Nope, you are dead wrong and continue to prove that English is not your strong point.

Let's break it down to a point where even YOU can understand it.

Mr. Nonsense said - "The shortage increases demand, not creates it."

Then I said - "A demand has to EXIST BEFORE there is a shortage you numbskull!"

In SOME cases and only SOME cases does a shortage increase demand. This is NOT A RULE that is seen with ALL DEMAND. So technically, you are, as usual, wrong. You can NOT use the shortage and ONLY the shortage to explain the Wii's demand. Which is certainly what you have done in the past.

Now let's look at my comment. If someone manufactures so much as ONE unit and there is 0 demand there IS NO SHORTAGE. You have to have demand before there is a shortage of product. So, as usual, I'm right. Give me my cookie!!!! Since the demand existed BEFORE the shortage that proves you and your BS theory that there IS ONLY A DEMAND because of the shortage 100% wrong. Now here we have you trying to claim that you understand the shortage did not create the demand but as usual I have a txt file FULL OF LINKS that prove otherwise. Would you like me to post them again?

The demand for the Wii is because of the WII.

Now, what where you saying about INTELLIGENT? You're a damn fool....

» WTF!?!?!?!?!

"Let me get this straight, you will write a page full of essays arguing, ranting, and making out opinions to be facts, yet it's not worth your time to actually prove me wrong?"

Nope, you would be wrong ONCE AGAIN. Many times, I've given PROOF, LINKS and FACTUAL information that can be proven in order to prove you wrong.

Here I'll do it right now:

http://wii.qj.net/Nintendo-readies-the-Wii-white-Gamecube-controller-for-Japan/pg/49/aid/117767/act/success

In this article many people provided PROOF on how wrong you where.

"YOU CAN'T, NOR COULD YOU EVER."

HAHAHAHA!!!!!!! !!!! You are a damn fool. You do know that anyone can click the above link and see for themselves right?

by ISOHaven - 2008-04-10 06:15
» WTF!?!?!?!?!

@Silver-Tiger

"Do you really think that even one of your comments will ever change the opinion of the other one?"

I'm not trying to change his opinion. I'm just making sure his LIES are well known.

"ISOhaven, you will always stay a Nintendo-fanboy"

Get it right! I'm a PC fanboy!

"They're not perfect, they also make mistakes and they are just as money-hungry as Sony and Microsoft."

What the hell is your point? I've never said otherwise. Please, by all means, post a link to where I've stated the opposite of what you just said. You seem to be confusing all the lie bashing with fanboyism. That would be a huge mistake on your part.

by Mister Common Sense - 2008-04-10 08:37
» no, wrong again

I really don't get you isoretard. I made one mistake regarding the Wavebird not working on the Wii, and like any reliable news source, I corrected myself.

However, even when you are so obviously wrong, you never admit anything and even try to back it up. Need examples?

Isoretard said "not anyone" and "nobody" are completely different.

He also said the Gamecube has Bluetooth.

Now when I say "The shortage increases demand, not creates it." He says I'm wrong, throws in the usual insults, and says the same thing himself.

I think I just proved isoretard has no credibility.

» WTF!?!?!?!?!

"I really don't get you isoretard. I made one mistake regarding the Wavebird not working on the Wii, and like any reliable news source, I corrected myself."

ONE? HAHAHAHA!!!!!!! ! I've posted MANY on top of MANY links showing how wrong you are. Who are you trying to kid? Besides yourself!

"However, even when you are so obviously wrong, you never admit anything and even try to back it up. Need examples?"

Sure! Let me start you off with one. Only instead of BS'ing like you did below I'll actually post PROOF unlike YOU. Here you will find my improperly NOT specifying that I meant a GC "STYLE" controller.

"Looks like I forgot the word STYLE. Oops. There you go."

http://wii.qj.net/Nintendo-readies-the-Wii-white-Gamecube-controller-for-Japan/pg/49/aid/117767/act/success

There you have it folks! Mr. Nonsense has once again been proven 100% WRONG!

"Isoretard said "not anyone" and "nobody" are completely different."

Here everyone will notice that he FAILED to give an actual link. That's because he knows if he does you'll see how ignorant he is. However even with these words here we can see how stupid he is since the two are completely different.

NOT ANYONE does NOT imply 100% whereas NOBODY implies 100%. This guy just keeps proving how stupid he is.

"He also said the Gamecube has Bluetooth."

More lies from Mr. Nonsense!!!! Come on fool, give us PROOF! Give us all a link to where I said the GC has bluetooth? Put up or shut up...

"Now when I say "The shortage increases demand, not creates it." He says I'm wrong, throws in the usual insults, and says the same thing himself."

It's a good thing everyone else understands it even though you couldn%u2019t.
