Stephen Palmer, producer of Brothers in Arms: Double Time, the upcoming shooter
from developer Gearbox Software and publisher Ubisoft, recently revealed some new details on the Wii version in an interview. Palmer talks about the two types of control schemes, video modes and other details about the game.

First of all, Palmer addresses circulating rumors that Brothers in Arms: Double Time was canceled, saying that the game is still "very much alive and will be making its appearance on store shelves before you know it."

Palmer also explains that the game is a port... and yet not a port. The game combines Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 and Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood to introduce Wii gamers to the franchise and to let them catch up with the story.

He also gives us the skinny on the control system for the game. There are basically two main schemes. The first scheme lets players shoot, aim and view with the Wiimote and will use the nunchuk for strafing and moving backwards and forwards.

The second scheme only allows the Wiimote to aim but won't move the viewpoint. That task is left to the nunchuk, which now only strafes when the Z button is pressed.

Palmer also clarifies the video capacities of the game. He confirms that the title can run on 16:9 and "all combinations of progressive, interlaced, normal and wide-screen aspect ratios are supported." The game has a target of 30 fps.

Now enough talk. Here's a gameplay video:

I think the voice acting is over expressed in this one. I'd rather prefer a game that has really good and decent acting.
