Boom Blox senior producer: head tracking easter egg removed |
Ó
Electronic Arts' Boom Blox really caught the attention of the public when the developers announced that they were planning to add head tracking as an Easter egg to the game.Unfortunately, the game's senior producer Amir Rahimi recently announced that the final game will not contain this feature.
Electronic Arts has yet to comment on why this Easter egg was cut from the final version of the game. This is a pretty big letdown considering how cool head tracking looked in the videos from the 2008 GDC.
Will the game stand on its own without head tracking? We'll find out when it gets released in North America on May 6 and Europe on May 9.

They probaby have to fill an agreement with the guy who came up with the idea (I forgot his name) since he is doing lot of work on that. And that would have made delay in the game.
It might not be working as well as they would think of or they haven't find a way to make it work on normal setup.
Anyway, I did not think it was the major selling point of the game, but it would have been a nice feature.
was a major selling point for me, as I wanted to see how head tracking would have worked in a "real" game. guess I'll never know
I really wanted to see this technology put into action!
It would have been so great!
